Tarot
Drucan Champion
|| Confident || Manipulative || Ambitious ||
Tarot's history has mainly been kept to himself over the years. Those who know him know that he was always ambitious from the beginning of his journey to become Drucan's champion. He was one of the only trainers in history to succeed in doing so without the help of a teammate in the battle against the prior Drucan champion. Tarot was the youngest as well to defeat and become the champion of his region and was said to be unbeatable as trainer after trainer fell to his team through the years. He was the trusted protector of Drucan and to the King and Queen of the region. His powerful team of pokemon granted him respect and admiration from everyone he met and he was known for granting people gifts to help them on their journey to challenge him. No one was ever the wiser that he was slowly becoming corrupt with power over the region. His ambition grew to wanting not just the Champion's title but to become the King of Drucan as well. Of course, Tarot planned it out carefully over the years. Valhalla was created from his desire to rule and he pegged himself as the hero to defeat the organization he was secretly controlling. When they would attack he would defend and drive them off. He began to experiment with legendaries his allies would catch, wishing for one to bond with him and evolve further than what a mega stone or primal reversion ever could in hopes of defeating the two legendaries that protected the king and queen. Some people failed the experiments and died... or sometimes the legendary would die with them and kill the human as well. But they continued their work and no one ever suspected him of this treachery. He had nearly succeeded too in his final goal. His allies were defeated however and driven back by the Elite Four- as he had planned- but the grunts sent to take out the Four upon their return were taken out by two trainers known as Soren and Jay. Tarot had run into them before and helped them to gain their trust but... they and their friends had found out the truth and escaped from Valhalla after being captured for the experiments. If they hadn't stumbled upon the attempted assassination of the gym leader, Prince Salem, they would never have stopped him. The battle between them was tough. He had more pokemon and experience on his side but the other two had a better purpose and luck. Though he managed to kill most of their pokemon and seemingly killed Jay, he still lost in the end. Tarot died at Soren's hands in vengeance at what he'd done to Jay before the tower started falling down around them. If he could've survived the wound Soren gave him he would've died in the collapse with his remaining pokemon. However... after his death, some would say Tarot would've made a better King than Drucan's newest challengers for the crown. But Fate has it that the people of Drucan will never know with Tarot dead and gone... Bio and story written by DeathSpecter aka Cerberous10 |
