Biography

Mate: Turquoise

**Note: This dragon does not meet the color standards for Swamp Glass Dragons but is a member of a breeding pair that produces this species.

Bogsneak dragons were already a result of a mutation, and Swamp Glass Bogsneaks are the result of this mutation combined with a geological change. Swamp Glass Bogsneaks develop when a Bogsneak egg sinks to the bottom of a swamp and is compressed in the muck, inducing a crystalline-like transformation. This subspecies develops by accident when Bogsneak eggs sink into the muck and remain dormant for months, or even years, only hatching when they are dug out again. When they are bred specifically for these traits, Bogsneak fire can warm the mud around purposely buried eggs to vastly accelerate the crystallization process. Bogsneaks can also apply physical pressure to where the eggs are buried, often using large boulders. Once the eggs have reached the proper crystallization stage, they are dug out and incubated as normal until they hatch.

Swamp Glass Bogsneaks are known for their resemblance to crystals found in deep water caves, and they possess a very tough skin, almost impervious to anything. Because of this, they are the "bull in the china shop" of the Bogsneaks, and are often more aggressive when fighting because they can afford to be. Like other Bogsneaks, they are solitary except for mating, but they are more dangerous to encounter because they are both tough and have a shorter fuse. Their glittery exterior serves as a warning sign, and if one sees moving crystal reflections while in the swamp, it's best to get out of there quickly. Swamp Glass Bogsneaks spend their time collecting shiny trinkets that have been dropped in the swamp, and some adopt underwater caves to fashion carefully into crystal caves, like tending a garden.
