Oberon's powers wax and wane with the phases of the moon. During a full moon he can converse with the stars, learning all of their secrets, which he rarely tells others. New moons however bring restlessness as Oberon fails to unlock his greater potential. As the lunar month progresses, Oberon's mood can also be affected by the amount of cloud cover. His turbulent and changing moods make him hard to get along with, along with his nocturnal lifestyle.

He was raised by loving parents in an average Pearlcatcher clan, until he was old enough to leave. He did, and hasn't looked back since as he firmly believes that he has a bigger role to play in life then to just be average, especially with his abilities. He has travelled far and wide in pursuit of more knowledge about his abilities and their possible origins as he himself doesn't even know, though he is yet to find dragons that share his or similar talents that aren't just parts of myths and legends.

Currently, Oberon is residing in the valley of Luna Hollows as a 'break' from his travels in an attempt to take the time to discover more about himself and what he can do. This dragon does not have any intention of becoming a permanent resident of Luna Hollows, however has become familiar with the environment and does wish to know more about it, so will most likely end up staying longer than planned, especially as he's also not having much luck in his original tasks.

As stated earlier Oberon is notorious for having mood swings that make him rather unpredictable to be around sometimes. Where he one day may laugh or shrug off a jest made in his direction, the next he may snarl and take offence. Those who are just able to not be continuously put off by this fact are the ones that are able to be around and possibly befriend him. However, this Pearlcatcher often prefers his own company; though he has no issue with sharing a space with another quite dragon that keeps to themselves.

He is often pursuing knowledge about anything he has an interest in which is many things, not just his own abilities - and is a swift learner. He is often polite and respectful to all those he comes across, even on his bad days, and will not refuse to offer sound advice if asked to. Oberon has displayed a kinder side to those who are able to be around him, and has shown himself to be a good listener. While he believes his own talents are interesting and note worthy, he refuses to ever look down on anyone else for their abilities and skills, regardless of how 'small' they may be compared to his ability to communicate with the stars.

Oberon is fond of reading and listening to others who are willing to talk or teach him about their craft, as well as flying in or watching storms. He owns so many books that he essentially owns a 'personal library' and is considering writing his own one day, as he's taken a liking to documenting his own experiences and sharing his own thoughts and knowledge.
