Magika

Magika looked around her den with a familiar frown etched on her face. She assumed she must have done something in a past life to anger the gods, for they seemed to love to torture her emotions. She had been struggling for a long time, especially since both her parents had left just after she'd matured enough to take care of herself and her brother. She tried to fall in love with a playful fae named Pinkwit for awhile, even had a small clutch of eggs with him before realizing she was just a fling his adventurous lifestyle. Of course, once the children were big enough to feed themselves, Pinkwit left "for bigger, better things," so he claimed.

She sighed at the thought of her beautiful daughter, Velocity, whose spunky nature was endearing, if a bit worrisome. She was afraid to lose her remaining child to the wonders of the world, but she didn't want to be too clingy either. It was a difficult battle.

Of course, that couldn't be the only thing she had to deal with. No. A dark, red and blue fae who claimed to be Echo, her father, suddenly showed up and the clan had no idea where he'd come from. Although he was able to eventually convince most dragons he was the same, Magika and her brother Reason knew otherwise. She was determined to prove it, but was going insane trying to keep everything around her somewhat safe and normal for Velocity's sake, as she knew her daughter was tired of hearing about her wild conspiracy theories.

The only things that kept her sane now were her slarg, Slurpy, and her magical studies. She'd always wanted to be an excellent mage, to possibly go on hunts and patrols with the mighty Seyza and her guards, but she knew she'd have to strengthen her magical prowess first. Between the stress of being a single mother, and the conspiracy behind Echo's disappearance, she thought she'd never get her studies completed.

Little did she know, if she pushed this fake 'Echo' hard enough, she'd be able to find the truth, and her father would return all on his own to tell the tale.
