Biography

Clan Job: Poet
Mate: Edith

Serezhi is a shy Guardian, having come from a family that ordered obedience. She was taught to 'Bow your head to all elders you!' and to 'Be silent! Silence attracts mates!'. Finally, when her parents had enough of her disobedience, they put her to the auction block.

A scarlet coatl wandered the auction house, looking for food to add to the stores of his clan before laying eyes on the silently crying Tundra. His gaze grew concerned before he talked with her parents and handed over a handful of coins angrily. He ushered her up and let her lean on him as he led her to a home she would grow to love.

She was allowed a name, and choice of apparel from the clan stores. She chose 'Serezhi' because it sounded strong, like she was leaving her old life behind and beginning anew.

She wandered to the trading post a while later, looking to fully remove herself from her parents by changing her born breed. She wanted something strong, something that would make others stare at her in awe.

She chose a Guardian.

She also chose love.

Serezhi fell in love with Edith after the two became penpals. They met at the trading post while Serezhi was still a Tundra. Serezhi heard the padding of feet get closer to her before a melodic voice lifted her attention from the scrolls in front of her. She learned the Guardian's name was Edith. Edith asked why she looked so puzzled, and the Tundra stated she was planning to change herself into a Guardian, but didn't want to force a large debt onto her newfound family by buying something so expensive. Surprised was she when the Guardian rustled in the pockets of her guise to pull out a few coins, practically buying the whole thing for her. Serezhi was absolutely ecstatic! This quickly led to the two warming up to each other and fumbling over their words until they finally got each other's clan names so they could write to the other from time to time. Edith had to leave early, but not without smiles and good wishes towards her newfound friend.
Over time, the two began to write frequently, even visiting the other's clan from time to time. Serezhi had never been allowed to love another without her parents' permission, so to let this new feeling grow untamed excited her. She was pleasantly surprised to find that Edith shared her feelings. It would be an understatement to say that Edith sent just a love letter that day. Ecstatic that her feelings were returned, Serezhi sent a series of haiku to Edith. 12, in fact. She wrote some based on her appearance and the others about her personality and Serezhi's own feelings. One was even about Edith's charming fangs. And yet another on how she loved her scarred paws even though Edith thought they made her look ugly. The final one, written in golden ink, was this:

"In fire the ice so
stark, Gleams like diamonds in caves
so dark, I love you."

During nights they are together, Serezhi will unwrap the bandages from her mate and charge's battered paws and massage oils into the scarred, cracked skin. She often spends nights at Edith's clan, so she does this before bed. Sometimes she must leave before night falls though, and does this before she must go back home. However, before these started, Serezhi would feel her mate's pain through their bond. She was sad that her mate felt this way about herself and vowed to do something about it. She knows Edith hates the way the heat has penetrated her very being, the Ice dragon she was born and raised as. So Serezhi does everything in her power to let her mate know that she loves everything about her, even the parts she hates.

Comments from Others:

"I am in love with the colors here matched with the accent - I don't know if it's just the teal or the teal with the carrot stained but in any case it's breathtakingly gorgeous. All the apparel only complements the look as well, the familiar is A+ matching, and wonderful lore!" - Aloice
