Having grown up within the Everbloom Gardens, Delphinium had a love for plant life and studying it. His parents were overprotective, as most Skydancers are, and always had an eye on him as he wandered about, memorizing and spilling facts about each plant he came across. Both of his parents and siblings seemingly didn't have the same interest for plant life as he did, and after realizing this as a young juvenile, he had shut himself away; growing ashamed of his interests.

His powers had manifested when he became a young adult, throwing him into a spiraling fear as he struggled to control the newly found powers. The clan's mage at the time helped him calm down and assisted him very little with discovering how his powers worked; there wasn't much they could do, barely anyone had any idea on what kind of 'magic' this was and most were afraid; even his parents were baffled that their own son had 'monstrous' powers. So, a few months after the manifestation of his powers, he split away from his birth clan and went to explore the region and train himself to his full potential.

And so he travelled, going from clan to clan and flight to flight; trying to figure out why he had these powers in the first place; no one was of help, and so he resorted to less moral tactics. He would get with dragons and have hatchlings within different clans, hoping that he'd gain their trust and they'd finally help him with their 'secret' knowledge on magic. This proved fruitless, and in the end, he ended up leaving each clan once his hatchlings had fully fledged. However, within one of his clutches, Hyacinth was born, full of life and a mysterious sparkle in her eye. She was different, he just knew it. So when it was time to leave, he took Hyacinth with him, and so they're journey to the Starfall Isles began..
