B I O G R A P H Y

Second-in-command and overseer of the garden, Hix takes credit for many difficult jobs. He has a gift for future-sight, and can predict not only weather, but growth patterns of plants and availability of seeds. He struggles to communicate these things properly, though, which makes it easier for him to take care of these jobs himself rather than delegate them to others. He is a bit of a workaholic.

When he was very young, he had a rather unusual mentor in the art of seeing the future: a spirit, which never gave him a name but always taught him something new. Hix was no prodigy, but anybody can learn given time and the right teacher, and Hix had both of these. The spirit which taught him no longer shows itself to him, forcing Hix to wonder if perhaps he imagined it, but he has retained and even improved in his gifts.
