BACKGROUND
The moment he scrimps and saves enough treasure to pay for the boat-trip for him and all of his bonepriests, he hightails it out of the Sundial Ruins and does not look back.

There is nothing left for him in the clan of his birth; most viewed his passion as a mere hobby, something he would grow out of eventually. Much to his dismay, no one saw the interest as a healthy one, either. Why take care of bonepriests, one of the most difficult and bad-tempered familiars in the region, when you could be poring over manuscripts or contributing to the clan's well-being?

So off he went, with nothing but a bag of supplies and his bonepriests for company.

He seeks acceptance and peace, but most of all, he just wants a shady spot to take a quiet nap.
