Biography
|
Codsworth You've come this far with a broken heart. Codsworth has seen a lot in his two hundred and fifty years of life. There was the war in the Shifting Expanse, of course - dreadful business, and the bomb destroyed everything, and his first home had been wiped out in the blink of an eye. Clan Goldwood was his second home, two hundred ten years later, but it wasn't to last, and perhaps he ought to have expected that - but at least this time there are survivors. At least this time, the dragon he cares for the most has survived. (Not like that, good lord. He is a servant, born and bred, proud to do so - proud to do the menial tasks that free up the time of dragons more suited to greater things, whether they realize they are or not.) The Under, as they've decided to call it now - it's not a bad place to live, all things considered, but perhaps he only feels that way as a Snapper. It would be nice to feel the sun again. But if there's one thing Codsworth has learned over his life: there is always hope, and there is always a future. He will feel the sun again, and his master as well, even if she doesn't quite believe it herself. This, Codsworth knows with quiet certainty. |
Character Notes
♫ Light Up the Sky, Cave In, Dear Hearts and Gentle People
• Adores Hyacinth and would do literally anything she asked of him. She seems to remind him of the best qualities of his previous masters. Hyacinth isn't quite sure what to do with Codsworth's undying admiration of her, although she's started leaning on him for support quite a lot nowadays.
• Quite well-adjusted and social considering he lived in near total isolation for two centuries. It definitely affected him though; he has obvious attachment/abandonment issues and gets distraught when people he knows are leaving, even if it's just for a short while. Doesn't even matter whether he likes them or not, it's more the act of change that upsets him.
• Generally a very pleasant dragon to be around, if a little overbearing at times. However, threats to the well-being of himself or those people/things he cares about turn him instantly vicious.
• Has poor vision. The monocle is not just for show, it actually helps him see. He tends to rely on his sense of hearing a lot.
• Really fond of awful puns/dad jokes.
OOC Notes
• Fallout fandragon! My favourite character in Fallout 4 tbh :D
• It took a year to breed this guy despite his colors being pretty common. I started breeding for him when GirHex were new and uncommon; his paternal grandfather was a very lucky snipe. So many females/Platinum bellies...
