Esequiel
Treasure Hunter | Prophet | Deep-Sea Diver

Esequiel knew his calling the moment he was hatched. After a few days, he jumped out of his nest and toddled to the lake near his lair. His mother ran after him, knowing how dangerous the water could be, but it was too late. Esequiel had dove straight off a cliff into deep water. His mother paced at the edge of the water, too scared to go in after him, but it was alright. He soon surfaced and roared in triumph. "I touched the bottom!"

From that day on, Esequiel was always found close to the water, playing in the waves, or peacefully floating on the surface. The day came where he was ready to leave the Icefields and he knew he wanted to join a clan near the Spiral Keep. As he was swimming the oceans, he came upon Itazura and Theristis stranded on an island surrounded by a fierce whirlpool. They had been doing field research, and became trapped on the island by leftover fishing nets. Esequiel knew he had to do something, and so he braved the whirlpool, swimming harder and faster than he ever had before. He reached the dragons after a long struggle, and chewed through the ropes binding them. They were amazed that he had swam the whirlpool, but asked, "Why didn't you just fly over?" Esequiel looked sheepish. "I.. uhh.. I never learned to fly." Itazura and Theristis exchanged glances. "Well you are still the best swimmer we've ever seen. What are you doing out here anyway?"
Esequiel ruffled his feathers, and looked at the ground. "I'm looking for a water clan to take me in." Itazura grinned and exclaimed, "I know the perfect clan for you!"

Esequiel is now a part of the Godling Collaborative and feels right at home. He does a lot of fishing for the clan, but his favorite thing to do is dive deep and find treasure. He can hold his breath longer than any other dragon, and uses that talent to explore long forgotten caves and ruins underwater. One day, he found a statue of the Tidelord emitting an ethereal glow. The moment he touched it, his entire body quivered, and he heard the voice of the Tidelord himself. What the deity said to Esequiel is unknown, but since then, the skydancer has become a powerful prophet. Dragons from all over Sornieth will come to hear his prophecies. However, he is rarely to be found, for he is usually combing the bottom of the sea to find treasures for his clan, though some have come to suspect maybe part of his prophesies are where to find the most interesting ancient objects..
