B I O G R A P H Y

Bold and strong and regal, NightHeart is the water representative for the Felclouds clan. Preferring to keep to himself for the most part, NightHeart usually only comes outside when night has fallen, hence his clan given name. His heart was stolen by the night.
When he was born, NightHeart appeared frail, even for a guardian. His parents cast him out because they were, like he is, afraid of death and afraid of being judged. But unlike his parents, NightHeart doesn’t harbor the bitter resentment of his parents. Instead he vows to learn from his mistakes and his past to make himself a better future.
NightHeart wandered around aimlessly for days until he stumbled upon a small lair. Exhausted and sick, the dragons there were but fuzzy memory to him. Despite not remembering what they look like, he does remember what they told him and what they said about him while they nursed him back to health.
“There’s much potential in this one.”
“He is incredibly strong to have survived this long.”
“An air of magic surrounds him, almost like an aura…”
NightHeart was cast out from another home yet again, however, and the tie of gratitude he had with those kindly dragons follows him everywhere. They gave him the gift of life and hope for the future, so for that he can never repay them.
It was on this same day that he stumbled to the coastline and realized his love for all things water. He was born far enough from the coast that all he knew of the ocean was the smell of saltwater and the taste of seafood: he had never seen the great blue expanse in person. But as he stumbled knee-deep into the waves he felt his true calling: the magic of the sea.
The moon pulls the tide, and the water gives life to creatures living in and around it, he thought. So, maybe I can become like the moon and the water: fluid but strong and fierce. So he did just that.
NightHeart taught himself water magic. He taught himself how to bend the most calming element to his will, summoning it from the ground and the air, making rainclouds and small rivers and covering things in beautiful drops of dew. He spent so much time in the water practicing it’s fluidity that some friendly seaweed attached itself to his scales and stayed with him ever since.
But even with his incredible magical strength and skill, he found that he was missing something. He lacked confidence; too much of himself had become fluid and malleable like the water he so adored. So NightHeart took to praying to the Tidelord for confidence and help, since the deity had become an integral part of who he strived to be.
