So my first try at a subspecies.
I am still working on the lore and kind of everything else too but please tell me what you think.
The species is called Golden Ruby and contains two sub species.

Golden Ruby Rose
Breed: Imperial
Genes: Iridescent, Facet, Runes
Colours: Blood primary, Cerise/Carmine/Crimson secondary, Swamp (male) / Gold (female) tertiary
Must have shadow eyes
Currently not an open species because I am still developing it


Golden Ruby Lily
Breed: Imperial
Genes: Crystal, Facet, Runes
Colours: Blood primary, Cerise/Carmine/Crimson/Brick/Copper secondary, Abyss (male) / Sand (female) tertiary
Must have shadow eyes

If you suddenly decide you don't want your dragon anymore please pm me before exalting so I got a chance to buy the dragon back. As it's a very small subspecies every dragon counts.

On th 20th of July 2016 a lonely Guardian hatchling hatched. His parents were no where in sight so he had to survive on his own. Because of his colour he was quite unique in the dark of the Shadows. So he was soon known as Hisame, which means Ice Storm. Because of his wing colour he aquired the second name Nigrum followed by the clan name no Kage.

Shortly after he became an adult he met Kyrie, a calm and friendly Tundra female and the two of them decided to stay together. Not long after their first nest hatched. Both of them were troubled with raising their own hatchlings but they managed and soon after decided to go their own ways by leaving the lair.

Over the time many dragons came and went and now a solid lair base exists.
But the more dragons there are the more potential for fights exists. So they decided to stick to a hierarchy to make life easier.
So Hisame became the first Alpha Emperor of the lair and his mate became the Alpha Princess. They then proceded to chose their Beta which would take over when the two of them couldn't manage anymore. Sadly their Beta Shadow did not have a mate and was very unstable. So they made the rule that every Beta has to have a mate.
To avoid further fights they then proceeded to split the rest of the dragons in Gammas,
Deltas and Zetas. Gammas are the most trusted of the Alpha pair and are the generals in battle. Deltas are the upper half of the normal members, all healers are at least a Delta to acknowledge their talent and the will it takes to become a full healer. Zetas are the lower warriors, younger dragons or dragons that do not want to fight and have no direct realtion to the Alpha or Beta pair. Hatchlings do not have a rank.
Everything went well and the clan evolved beautifully. But then a Zeta decided to challenge the Beta Empress. He lost, but he fought unfair and there was no rule for his behaviour.
So the position of the Omegas was introduced. Omegas were the lowest in the hierarchy and had no say in anything.
Even though most dragons didn't like that at first it seemed to be a good change and only brought good to the clan till now.

After Shadow decided to become a normal Gamma the clan needed a new Beta. There were two pairs who would be able to claim the position. Rubin and his mate rubynwa and Calypso and her mate zekiro. Sadly non of them were willing to take the position long term. Also none of them were born in the clan and while they helped evolving the system they didn't grow up with it. The clan didn't know what to do. Because the missing of a Beta pair resulted in restlessness and worry from the other clan members. But a solution was found when one of the hatchlings of Rubin and his past mate Violet became an adult and decided to stay with the clan instead of leaving like most Imperials did. This hatchling was called Sephiroth.
Sadly he didn't have a mate jet. But it was certain that he would become the new Beta. So the Alpha pair started to teach him everything they know. And one day he met Estaith a traveler from the Ice flight that came across the clan by accident. She only wanted to stay for a few days but Sephiroth and her got along very well. And aft their first nest hatched she decided to stay.
The clan was ecstatic because they knew they would have a new Beta soon. So no long after that Sephiroth became the Beta Emperor and Estaith his Beta Princess.
Sephiroth was extremely gifted for his young age and to further develope his talents he decided to try himself in battle. Even there he soon made a name for himself and other dragons started to call him Golden Ruby because of his colours. Not soon aft another dragon with very alike colours appeared in the coliseum. So both of them were called Golden Rubys and it soon became a name for all dragons with these characteristics.
But as great as this was it also had bad sides. One of Sephiroths first hatchlings he had with another dragon before he met Estaith decide to stay with the clan. And even tho he looked very much like his father he wasn't called Golden Ruby because he didn't fit the criteria. That sadden him very much and he did know what to do. It hurt Sephiroth to see his son so upset. So he decided that Iagos characteristics should be called Golden Ruby too.
His son was of course very excited but others not so much. So to calm them he decided to make two sub categories out of Golden Ruby. He, as well as any other hatchling born with the original criteria would be called Golden Ruby Roses and his son and all hatchlings matching the rest of the criteria would be called Golden Ruby Lilys.
So he asked Hisame if he could make a guild inside the clan. The Golden Ruby guild. And Hisame agreed to allow it as a special event for the 1 year anniversary of the clan.
So from the 20th of July 2017 onwards Golden Ruby will be a Shadow Imperial sub species.
The only dragons who are part of it are currently Sephiroth, his Sister Eirys and his son Iago.
