______ Fear...It drives us all into doing the unthinkable...But...That is how I ruled with my mate. We served no one and we kept to ourselves unless we felt the need to take over. That need grew stronger as we took over more and more clans, eventually taking over the entire land. I'm sure my mother is rolling in her sleep, seeing me for the way I am...Seeing as she was an honorable soldier and I am a corrupt husk.

______ My mother, Sapphire, and my father, Ruby, raised me together until Sapphire had to serve. My father tried his best to teach me all of the magic he knew as he anxiously waited for his mate to return to him...Days became weeks, and weeks became months. Time grew slower as the months dragged along...We eventually got some news from a general among the ranks of the Arcanist. I still remember those words vividly...My father didn't seem too bothered by it...Or...Perhaps he just hid it from me...I will never know. For me, it was unbearable. I ran from home and tried to look for her, hoping that the letter was a lie and that she was still out there. The fear of losing a loved one always haunted me...And that day, the haunting truly began. Fear drove me to keep running until I could find her, but I ended up losing my way and I was never able to get back home.

______ Years later, I found a mate, one who was more powerful than anyone from my original Clan. The name of that mate...Bolin, the Cursed Beast. I knew the consequences of being his mate, that we would forever be bound together in immortality. If one dies, the other dies as well in a span of a few weeks. Eventually, they will both be reborn, forced into an endless cycle of life and death until the world itself has died. It's a dreadful curse, but I am willing to live with it to be with him. We created this Clan together and ruled the land. Fear never rose for me as we ruled. I didn't think anyone was capable of defeating us, but I was wrong. We broke into war with a group known as "O Light". They captured Bolin and a majority of our soldiers. Bolin was decapitated in front of our soldiers and their people. I'm sure it was horrifying for my people...But I wasn't there to see it. I had left to die in peace, away from other life so my rebirth wouldn't be disturbed. Decades passed before we were reborn, and we were able to find each other. We went back to where we had ruled our Clan, thinking it would be abandoned, but our most loyal servants kept it alive. They waited for our return. Now, we wait to strike back and take over...
