Merida

Merida, had found herself desperate and alone on the cold frozen ice fields her teeth chattering together. Her mother and father had warned her about wandering off away from the clan, but she knew best as usual. In hindsight she could now understand why her parents had been so worried about her wandering off alone all of the time. Merida couldn’t help it though as it was in her nature after all, still it had led to her having become lost and unable to retrace her steps in the soft, ever shifting snow.

The approaching dragon had been so quiet that Merida had no idea he was even standing right beside her. Until the very moment he had bent down close and had spoken softly in her ear. Caught completely off guard and without any strength to even stand up, If he had wanted to hurt her he could have. But as it was the old Wildclaw had simply told her to remain still and that extra help was on it’s way. She had drifted in and out of consciousness for a while after that and had no knowledge of how she had gotten to the lair of the old Wildclaw.
