Born and raised in the Sunbeam Ruins, Kuroa spent her hatchling years happily playing in the Mirrorlight Promenade. As is custom for most light dragons, Kuroa was passionate about discovery and unearthing the ancient secrets of her homeland. The Hewn City, in particular, was Kuroa favorite place to investigate. It was there that she learned of the ancient Kintsukuroi dragons.

These dragons fascinated Kuroa due to the fact that they were seemingly made instead of born, their bodies chambers of magic and relic. Her interest was peaked even further when she found out that there were some who were trying to craft these mysterious Kintsukuroi. She began to study in the arts of magic and creation, training herself while also collecting fragments of old pottery.
When her clan found out what she was up to, they immediately forbade it, believing that the creation of life was for the Ruling Deities only. Not one to give up so easily, Kuroa set off to find a new clan so she could continue her studies and one day create a Kintsukuroi dragon of her own.
