Biography

Near the pond in the garden, in the shade of the apple tree, sits a Pearlcatcher. Her mane is tangled with greenery and she is so still you might have taken her for a statue, if not for the fact that you can see her breathing, slowly and steadily. Birds and other animals are all around her, some even perched on her, chirping and squawking and chattering at each other. At least some of it has to be directed to her, since she'll sometimes murmur a response.
