Achilles is the former combat technician for the Lair of Many References. He has long since handed the mantle over to Larimar, his protege and one time mate, preferring to spend his retirement as a stand in combat instructor when Larimar goes on patrols with Naos. He is still formidable and should not be underestimated however, since he still actively takes part in patrols with his pal Odysseus. He has a mutual understanding with Eurydice since they are both of warrior mindsets, and every so often they can be seen sparring with each other. Juniper is often strung along to watch, but he doesn't mind...as long as they don't hurt each other.
Part of the original gang who tracked down and imprisoned Alduin for his crimes.

Achilles was the son of the Nereid Thetis and Peleus, the king of the Myrmidons. Zeus and Poseidon had been rivals for the hand of Thetis until Prometheus, the fore-thinker, warned Zeus of a prophecy that Thetis would bear a son greater than his father. For this reason, the two gods withdrew their pursuit, and had her wed Peleus. There is a tale which offers an alternative version of these events: in Argonautica (iv.760) Zeus' sister and wife Hera alludes to Thetis' chaste resistance to the advances of Zeus, that Thetis was so loyal to Hera's marriage bond that she coolly rejected him. Thetis, although a daughter of the sea-god Nereus, was also brought up by Hera, further explaining her resistance to the advances of Zeus. Achilles was most famous for his participation in the Battle of Troy, where he fell due to receiving an arrow to his heel from Paris. He killed Hector, who before had killed his companion, Patroclus.
