Eftborenra reborn

"Don't hurt my clan, 'else' is not an option." As is typical of her species, Eftborenra is usually a placid and somewhat demure lady. She does not advertise herself much and is more than happy to go about her life curled up with her mate, Geocend. However, she does have herself a rather caustic temper and so most dragons in the clan are agreeable with her. Especially given her success in battling. Whenever her home is in danger, Eftborenra is the first to step forward and defend it. For all the clan leaders are strong, this lady is even stronger.

Eftborenra and her mate Geocend were born relatively close together and share the same reasons for being born in the Sea of a Thousand Currents - simply put their parents had resisted the call to nest in the Ashfall Waste but ultimately couldn't bear to nest elsewhere. Still, their parents didn't quite make it to the Ashfall Waste and nested fairly close together and bemoaned their choices.

Still, all that meant that the two future mates grew up together and were amazingly close all throughout their lives. Together they decided they would learn from their parents' mistakes and decided to live in their ancestral homeland. They wandered from clan to clan until they discovered one that suited them best. Though the leaders didn't understand the coatl language, Eftborenra and Geocend grew up with non-coatl dragons as well as coatl parents so they had learned traditional draconic well enough to at least communicate, though they mostly kept to themselves.

When the clan's diplomatic chief called for an elite team of battlers to help protect the clan and raise their prestige in the eyes of others and the Flamecaller, Eftborenra stepped forward to offer herself for the cause. At first the other two chosen to train with her and become a cohesive, skilled force found their coatl companion odd. Over time Faer, Heofon, and Eftborenra overcame their differences and grew not only close but devastatingly strong.

It was during one battle with her teammates that Eftborenra became acquinted with Amahara, a baby peacock firebird. The coatl had unintentionally protected a nest of them and the mother was so grateful that she gifted Eftborenra with one of her daughters, despite the coatl's reluctance. Amahara was then raised by Eftborenra and views her as her mother.

Eftborenra was disappointed to discover that Faer was no longer satisfied with her role in the clan, or her mate. When her good friend decided to move on to an ice flight, Eftborenra was displeased to discover that Ellengaest, a more recent member and former mirror, would begin training to fill Faer's spot. Initially Eftborenra did not get along with Ellen but slowly she warmed up to her (with significant help from Heofon and Geocend).

The fight against a crazed Scinna nearly cost Eftborenra her life. Her mate used a strong and generally considered taboo healing magic to tether their life forces together. As a result, Eftborenra and her mate went through a great change and the two were reborn, in a sense. Eftborenra more so.
