Dianthus

If you stop to smell the flowers and accidentally wind up with a face full of fragranced frills, don't worry. It's just Dianthus.

Once a Fae, his experiments in magic had caused plant growth to emerge from his body. A subsequent infection with a particularly virulent, magically enhanced strain of Agrobacterium spread the plantlike growth until he was more plant than dragon. Nobody has figured out where that bacterium came from - possibly a hitchiker from Irisa's fall into the Wyrmwound - but Tyvir saw that it was quarantined to prevent its spread.

Now cured of the infection thanks to Tyvir, Dianthus is the strangest bloom Kaith ever did see! He seems perfectly content to be a flower, and spends his time in the gardens among his botanical brethren. He uses spells to perfume himself and attract bees, hummingbirds, and other garden friends.
