NETTLE
Middle-aged adult
Was anyone from the past still here...? Yami nervously went down the stairs to the dungeon, hoping no one had waited too long. Much to her horror, she saw a familiar older Skydancer in the cell. The beige dragon was bony and scowling, flashing her spearmint butterfly wings in annoyance. Her scales were glazed over from lack of sunlight, making her seem like stone. Most notably, colonies of stone-colored snacks slithered around her.
An orphan herself, Nettle was the hatchling caretaker for Yami's former clan after having left a former partner. When Luminax wreaked havoc, the demise of hatchling members was unfairly blamed on Nettle (courtesy of Yami's ruling aunt, the arrest order laid as she gave her dying breath). Yami had never been too familiar with Nettle, and she unfortunately forgot about her.
Five years later, when the Clan of Many Suns was founded, Yami remembered to give any remaining prisoners pardons. It was when she found Nettle, still alive and having been taken care of by remaining guards and jailers. Unsurprisingly, Nettle was very unamused by the unfair arrest. Although confinement was long, she never felt lonely due to the dungeon's residential snakes that crawled in and enjoyed her light... and she also had the company of their ancient monster, Hyacinth.
To compensate, Yami gave her wealth in gold armor and food. She is also now one of the Founders of the new clan and continues to be responsible for hatchling care. As such, she raised Nova and Azure in the Southern Icefield when Aquarius's affair came to light. Additionally, after the two fell in love, she had the Founders' permission to marry Aquarius after he promised to be entirely loyal to her.
