The Hive
As you reached the top of the hill, a foul odor hit you, making you gag. Searching around for the source of the offending smell, your eyes come across a shiny bulbous mass growing out of the ground. The blue carapace of the mass shone sickly in the sun, and awful green holes dotted gaps in the armor. Out of these these holes, a noxious green smoke issued, and you could see things moving among the vapors. In an instant, a swarm of insects poured out of every exit and rushed for you. In seconds, you were surrounded. You screamed as the bugs stung and bit you, drawing blood and weakening you. You fall to the ground convulsing under the onslaught. The swarm disperses, leaving behind a mangled corpse.
