Mice? They eat food stores, but a couple of cats take care of 'em. Termites? Those big ole' colonies are a small feast for a family of hungry Faes. Snails?

...Snails...? Oh Earthshaker's beard, don't even get me started. Now, these aren't any old snails we're dealing with. These little dastards are as big as swine and have a temper to match. You don't know what an angry reef snail looks like? Good. Pray to your diety that you never find out.

The Amber City's tunnels are dark, damp, and deep. Magic does funny things to the wildlife here. One of those hippies at the fungus farm was saying something about these snails being a new subspecies. If you ask me, they are an abomination. They stink of low tide. They can lay thousands of eggs in a single week. Their eggs can survive in the vaccuum of shade damned space (you can thank our friendly arcane rep for that little discovery.) And have you looked around? This city is made of amber. Slick, shiny amber. Slick, shiny, slippery amber. Amber that lines mile-long tunnels that slope gently downwards with room enough for a couple of mirrors to walk single file. Amber that becomes a SHADE DAMNED SLIP N' SLIDE OF AGONY when fouled by snail slime!

The ghastly gastropods. The monstrous mollusks. The shade-touched shells. Call them whatever you like... when I'm on the job, I call them dead.

Slickenside came to the Amber City to start a new life on 4/20/2017.
