She was born with the sea in her eyes, seafoam caught in her soft new curls. She blinked in the sudden, dazzling light, the sounds of the sea filling her ears and weaving their way into her heart.

She is old now, and the aged tundra has lived a long life wedded to the water, her first and truest love. By night she waves stories for the clan children as others weave fabric for the clan's clothing. Once they are all abed, she dances in the firelight, the gold of her bangles catching the light and flashing as she twirls and spins.
