Rumors are nothing if you don't listen to them. Sinclair knew this very well. He knew they spoke of his grandparents with ill intent, that his bloodline was doomed to crumble in their thirst for power. He paid it no mind, as he did not care. Their opinions were nothing to him, the fearful whispers of those who don't understand his natural strength. As such, he spent much of his youth in the dark corners of the library, away from the prying eyes of the book keeper or the judging stares of the other clan members. His grandfather often visited him there, as such topics were of his own focus. Despite his usual cold expression, Gordon was glad to guide Sinclair down his path. Such powerful magics needed a mentor, or else the destruction of the caster was inevitable. The other hatchlings would struggle to cast the simplest of spells, while he could conjure complex rituals. His grandfather was proud.
