Biography

OC

Good morning and welcome in! I am Orcusa, and I guess I'm a god.

My story started a long time ago, back when humans were uncommon and dragons never spoke to them. I lived alone on the coast in what would one day be downtown dogger's land, but at the time it was just the jungle.
My days were so uneventful. I fished far out to sea, I slept on tiny islands and in sea caves, and I never saw another intelligent soul. I liked it well enough, but sometimes found it lonely. I never knew how blissful it was.

Then one day I found a mass of floating wood, miles off shore. It was strange to look at, the vast expanse of blue broken so suddenly.
Curiosity struck, I mean, how could it not?
I flicked a wing tip and went spiraling down. I circled the object for a better look, unsure if it was safe to dip into the water around it.
What I found I still can't explain.

The mass looked like it had once been a structure. Bords, fabric, rope, and random debrise drifted in a tangled mess, all a maner of fish were swimming through it, and at the center of it all there was a little creature, gasping for air and struggling to climb out if the water and onto the wreckage.

Again, it was quite strange. The thing did not look sea worthy at all. It had no tail, no webbing, no fins, no snout, it looked like it couldn't hold its breath more then a minute, and yet here it was, stuck on a sinking raft in the middle of the ocean. This only thing I could think was, "How on earth did it get out here?"

It took me a while to decide what to do. It felt wrong to leave it there, but then it also might have bitten me if I picked it up. I eventually managed to snag the cloth up out of the water as I passed by, and I caught it in the sheet the way you would a rouge bird.
The beast was not pleased to say the least. Holding onto it was like trying to hold an angry eel, even in the sheet! But I managed, and by the time I reached land the poor thing had exhausted it's self beyond any attempt at escape.

I have to admit, I do like catching critters, and I took full advantage of it's exhaustion. I carried it with me all day, petting it and offering it water. At some point I worked up the courage to pick him up with my claws, and thank goodness he didn't bite me. Looking back, he probably wanted to.
Well, come to find out, this little creature was particularly intelligent, and I suppose he figured out I wasn't going eat him, because after that day, he got really friendly.

Bearley a day passed that I didn't see him. He would find me, no matter were I slept, he was there every morning, scratching my withers or sleeping under my wings, and at first it was fine. Endearing even!
And then there were more. One washed up on the shore. One was getting attacked by a big cat. One was stuck on the side of a cliff.
He would take me by the wing and lead me to the creature in need, pleading for me to save it. Every one of them.
Now, oh gosh, I think there are 1024? Maybe? I haven't counted in a while. Point is, I care for a full colony of endangered human creatures on one of my islands, and they have started worshiping me.
So yeah. Ima god now.

"Ancient one? Of jeeze, please..."
A funny looking little creature shakes its head at the big blue noc, "that's what they are calling you!"
"I'm not ancient. That's just mean."
"Your older then any of us."
She frowned, then shrugged with her wings. "Touche."
