Sam

Sam’s parents died for him. His memory of what happened still rings fresh in his vengeful mind. It had been a cold, dark night, Sam had been asleep whilst his parents talked. Then something happened. His parents began to yell and hustle around the room, in a panic Sam woke up. His mother tried to calm him down, telling him that everything would be all right. His father picked him up and together, the family began to flee. Sam did not know from what they were fleeing from, but whatever it was soon caught them.

Placing him in a small ditch and covered with grass, moss and other foliage, Sam was ordered to stay still and quiet for as long as he could. His mother gave him one final embrace, then both his mother and father turned and continued to flee, distracting whatever was chasing them away from him. The next morning, Sam emerged from his hideaway, beginning to call for his parents. It was many days later that he found their dead bodies, mangled and broken on the ground, signs of fighting evident in the destroyed brush around them.

From then, Sam was brought in by the clan he resides in now. He trains every day and helps the clan fight against enemies and criminals within the clan. In his spare time, Sam investigates the cause of his parent’s death, searching clans for any hint or clue as to what happened that fateful night.

Sam’s personality is very patriotic. He will selflessly defend helpless dragons and save them from harm. He worries and protects his fellow clanmates so badly, he comes off as harsh to visiting dragons. Dragons from the clan who have gotten to know him though, appreciate Sam for what he does, acknowledging his past and consequential defensiveness.

Another aspect of Sam is his absolute love for weapons. Some find it hypocritical, considering what happened to his family, but Sam doesn’t care. He considers the interest to have sprouted from his need to defend himself. Regardless, Sam remains proficient in many different weapons, and has a wide arsenal at his disposal. With such armaments, Sam protects the clan from evil, simultaneously searching for a reason for his parent’s murder.
