written by (Jaxtheguardian) General Information: Argos is Keenara's mate and the Jarl. The Imperials run the clan together though Argos knows that Keenara would prefer it to just be her. He lets her do most the work until she exhausts herself and allows him to step in and help. Argos in general is a caring leader and a relaxed dragon. He enjoys spending time with the rest of the tribe but treasures the moments where he can have time with his mate. Argos handles most of the meetings between the Council. Svinulf is his advisor. There was a common buzz along the wall hall entrance. The ten dragons sat around each other in a semi-circle, with the eight facing the Jarls thrones. Long wooden tables sat with paperwork resting on top. Ink and quills accompanied each chair. Some silver goblets also rested atop the tables, filled with some ale from the Native Lyre. Alfrothul had the floor. The normally cheerful Coatl had his plumage spread out as he hissed angrily across the room. "Are you mad?! Going head first into the Charged Barrens, no less the The Source is a death trap!" Magma flew across the room as he shook his head as his jewelry jangled. "Might I suggest we target a different resource area? Say, the Churnscar Wharf?" Svinulf snorted and shook his head. He ran a clawed hand through his long silver locks before locking eyes with the impatient Viking. "So you mean attack the clans who we've made truces and trading routes with? Insane. That would be like sending the war parties out to Emperor's Wake." At this point, the Council had broken into a verbal fight. Argos sighed and ran a hand down his face, one of his ears flicking with annoyance. While the Council had created many great things, they were prone to fighting a lot. Noticing his mate shift in her seat, Argos looked over at her. The metal crown resting on her head jingled as she stood up from her spot. The council, noticing one their Jarl before them, quieted down and simply waited. "Narumi, You propose that we storm into a field of lightning for resources. Alfrothul, You suggest we attack our own clans." She turned and looked at the much larger male. "And Svinulf. You suggest we what, dance around Luminax for supplies and relics?" Her hands tapped against her axe handles as she paced back and forth. Her tail swept behind her as she did. "While the Charged Barrens offers some good items, it would cost us more getting past the lightning strikes and The source then the items themselves. Turning on our alliances is never a wise thing and can lead to more problems than solutions." She turned to Narumi. "Ignis and Wybjorn have no issue with working together, right?" The red toned male crossed his upper set of arms, letting his second ones rest on his hips as he nodded his head. The small female grinned before turning to everyone. "Then it's settled. Ignis will command Wybjorn and his party to investigate Emperor's Wake. Frode can take them across, it'll be a quick trip along the trade routes." The Gijinka sat back down in her throne, her tail swishing as she eyed her council. "Now, I believe some of you have places to be." The dragons cleared out, leaving the two Jarls alone together. Argos shifted in his seat so that he was facing her. "So, care to explain to me why we're sending Berserkers out when we don't need to?" She rubbed her face, not making eye contact. "It works. Narumi gets more information on the land, Svinulf gets to deal with oversea trades again and Alfrothul gets to sit there and look pretty." |
