When we look at Water Magic as a practice, utilizing it in either small (rain, wells, etc,) or large quantities (lakes, ocean, etc,) it is very clear that chanting, spells, incantations, sigils, and many more magical practices can be incorporated and the result is incredibly powerful. Tahiti has studied this his entire life, and has dedicated all his waking (and sleeping) hours to the Tidelord and learning his mysterious and wonderful ways. Granted, it was never an easy task; as a Skydancer, the lord of water himself was reluctant to take in such an apprentice- but he proved himself time and time again, until the ancient leviathan had no other choice but to take the dragon in as a pupil. And then.... the Tidelord vanished. Tahiti felt it before he heard the news; it was like a lightning strike to his heart, a tidal wave of sorrow flooding his every vein. His mentor! His tutor! Gone!! Gone like salt in the sand! Tahiti was devastated, but resilient. He knew that the older dragon had not died, for his water magic was still flowing through his body. Weaker, yes, but still there. Using all of his knowledge and willpower, Tahiti set off on a quest to find his lost mentor. He traveled every sea and ocean known to dragonkind, in hopes of finding even a sliver of information on the Tidelord. This journey, while bearing little fruits of success, helped him develop his magic even further. Tahiti had mastered what he previously could not. He still had much to learn, yes, but now he felt more confident than ever in being able to find the Lord of Water. His will and determination wavered at times, but every time he looked into the dark depths of the ocean, a spark of hope was ignited in his heart. Now, settled into his new Clan, Tahiti teaches his own apprentices. He still searches for his old Mentor whenever he can, leaving for weeks at a time, but he knows that He is not dead. That, at least, gives him comfort at night. And when his students learn enough, they, too, will be able to help him in his search for the Tidelord. Written by @KyuuBird
