Biography
Wanted to come up with a nice sounding name. Snappers aren't my favourite dragon aesthetically, but the babies are adorable and I do like her colourscheme! She’s like Rosie the Riveter but in a dress.
EDIT: BOY WAS I WRONG I LOVE SNAPPERS NOW
Beatrice has an excellent sense of smell and is the clan’s head of foraging, and though she dresses fancy she is not afraid to get dirty. She has also been known to find many water sources during times of drought. She is a hardy, mature dragon who considers herself somewhat of a lady despite her bulky frame. She believes in behaving in a polite manner, but doesn’t consider herself superior to many other dragons. Sometimes, she helps Alma and Artium out with organising Ceres’ many ramblings, and takes note of wandering dragons who leave the lair to journey around Sornieth. The notable exceptions to this are Capone’s mob, Neptune and Verdigris, whom Beatrice dubs ‘uncouth’, though she like many residents are unaware of Alduin’s Sympathisers. She has occasional contact with her daughter Wadjet, but is uneasy to say the least about the guardian’s snake hoarding habit.

It may also be a reference to my favourite series of books, "A Series of Unfortunate Events", detailing the exploits of Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire as they try to escape from the notorious Count Olaf. Lemony Snicket dedicates each book to his love, and subsequently the Baudelaire's mother, Beatrice. She died in a fire with her husband Bertrand, and was a part of the secretive organisation VFD. Beatrice Baudelaire was the mother of the Baudelaire orphans featured in the book series, her children: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. She was married to Bertrand Baudelaire, and it is unknown what her maiden name was before she was married, although there is speculation she may have been an Anwhistle. Every book has a dedication to her at the beginning, and there are frequent referrals to her as Lemony Snicket's beloved, specifically in The Beatrice Letters. (Wikipedia) |
