Biography

GWYDION
Wizard, Trickster

Luggage
Emerald Deepsea Bulb
Scout's Hat

Gwydion was hatched deep in the Tangled Woods to Silvanus and Tabitha, guardians of the Woods' heart. He is a mischievous and bold young dragon who enjoys putting his nose where it doesn't belong and playing pranks on his sisters. Already, he has displayed quite the natural talent for magical illusions and fabricating tall tales. But there are only so many pranks you can pull on the same two dragons in the same small corner of the Woods, and he is quickly becoming bored with his sheltered existence. However, his father, Silvanus, believes that he is much too young and foolish to leave his parents' care, and refuses to let him leave the nest. But Silvanus can't keep an eye on Gwydion all the time. And if the opportunity presents itself, he just might make his escape into the night.

Uh-oh, looks like this tiny trickster wandered a little too far from his home lair (#1733, Rasenryu), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Volrin: After finally escaping the watchful eye of his father, Gwydion spent a few months taking cover in a clan in the Hewn City. The shadowy lands reminded him a lot of home, though the dragons he met there didn't seem to have the appreciation for pranks and tricks that his family did. He made good friends with an anxious, iridescent Imperial named Lucky, and when she headed out of the clan with the mission of finding her family, the mischievous Fae happily accompanied her.

Bachuchuru: Travelling pretty far together, Gwydion and Lucky stayed at the Southern icefields. The clan they visited isnt very big but they give a nice welcome to the travellers. Different from the previous stop, many dragons here likes magic tricks! Gwydion had much fun woth them and learned some puns from a spiral girl that claimed she loved the Trickmuck Circus.

Staying for about a week, Gwydion thinks that he should be get going now. "Heya, Lucky! Prepared to get going again snow?" Spotted lucky was preparing her stuff he thought that Lucky was set to go again soon. "Yes, soon" Lucky replied. "What a coincidence again, I was about to leave too! I guess we are fated to travel together a bit sooner, huh?" He chuckled with a wink on his face. As soon as they are done preparing thwir stuff they continue to explore the world.

BenjiBenge: Gwydion and Lucy arrived at the Crossroad, where a stranger greeted them, and guided them into the warm Lair. The excited Fae, Norovirus, introduced herself, her body clad entirely in festival wear! "Hey! You can stay here for the night! But if you'd like to stay longer that's great! We have plenty of space! I'm the Trainer here so I you'd like to get trained up just give me a shout!"
Lucky an Gwydion where allowed their own space, it was a huge lair, with many dragons coming and going, often there would be a boom in Hatchlings arriving, then as soon as they were old enough to train, they left with Noro, Derp and Anarthria, they never got told where they went, but it was clear where they had gone, only Noro, Derp and Anarthria would return during these times, looking tired and worn out, they would immediately pass out in their own area of the lair.
After a few weeks Lucky packed up her things "This place unnerves me, they are all named after infections except for Derp, and even he is just as strange! And I've never seen this Anarthria, even though everyone talks about her strength!" Lucky Shuddered. "I think it's time for me to leave Gwydion, you can stay if you wish but I have stayed here too long."
Gwydion laughed, "You haven't seen Anarthria because she's hidden under an invisibility cloak! I've had fun here, Hypothermia is always excited to talk about stories with us! And I can keep surprising Amnesia and they forget that I've already surprised them about 20 minutes later!" He looked around the lair.
"But I agree it's time to get going, although I've had fun, I'm growing bored of it here, and Lacremans looks like she's gunna eat me any second!"
And with that they set off, saying a farewell to nobody, Going back to a place they could call home

Rasenryu: Home. The little Fae longed for the place, though it was no more than a distant memory. If only he had heeded the warnings. If only he had left when he had the chance. But no, the chance to pull so many pranks, the chance at stardom, and hundreds of eyes all trained on him - the allure had been too great.
It had all started when he came upon a new place to explore. A great city nestled on the edges of Shadow and Light, it was the perfect place for him to set up shop as a street performer. The bustling streets were never short of onlookers, and he wowed both hatchlings and elders alike with his illusions. Little did he know then, that one of these set of eyes would bring him ruin.
The stranger had only offered him a job. "With skills like that, you could work at the castle," they had said.
The opportunity seemed too good to be true, and Gwydion leapt on the chance without a moment's thought. He soon found himself performing before the very leader if the prestigious town, a warlord with little patience for tricksters like him. The tundra dragon's glare alone had Gwydion floundering over himself and forgetting all his jokes. He was starting to fear for his life when a bout of laughter cut through his panic. One of the courtesans had still found his mess of a performance entertaining, and the other dragons clapped and thumped their tails politely. The dragon turned out to be the grand-daughter of the warlord, and took him under her wing.
Narcissa and her twin Anthera were the most cultured and alluring dragons Gwydion had ever met, and he quickly became smitten with the tiger-striped sister. This is what led to his undoing. The sisters had many plans to dethrone their brutal grandfather, and somehow, Gwydion became wound up in their affairs.
More and more he found himself doing their bidding instead of honing his craft. Even going to far as to hone his own children into living weapons all for the sake of taking out warlord Gammo. It had been decades now, and he was in far too deep to ever escape. But escape he tried, and when the sisters found out, they locked him away here, where no one would ever find him. All he had done for them - all he had sacrificed - it was all for nothing. He had thought of them as family, had raised a family with Narcissa, but the moment his loyalty faltered, he had outlived his usefulness in their eyes. He knew this was the end for him.
How will Gwydion get out of this predicament? How will he manage to escape the twins' wrath when he does? Will he seek revenge or try to return home? Find out next time on Dragons off to See the World!
