Tigris Lantana is the son of Lurata Lantana and her first husband, Duke Cyphnos Silvershadow. Tigris is very close to his family -- and that includes his step-father Sydris and half-brother Solpheus. He is also close friends with Wysterian and Kiadzo.

Tigris was born in the Silvershadow Clan, as the son of High Duke Cyphnos Silvershadow, Heir Apparent, and Archduchess turned High Duchess Lurata Silvershadow. Cyphnos's family never liked Lurata due to her "commoner background," and therefore, they did not like Tigris. They manipulated Cyphnos and turned him against his family, and he ended up cheating on Lurata with Angelana, Princess of Angels. The Silvershadows convinced Cyphnos to divorce Lurata for Angelana, and then they kicked Lurata, Tigris, and his sister Kiyi out of the Clan. Tigris and Kiyi snuck back in to ask their father to do something, but he wouldn't hear it.
