Motya, despite his performance-based existence, is rarely seen in the public eye outside of dances, practice, or rehearsals. His lost antennae and cracked gem rob him of the mental buffer other skydancers employ - rather than sensing others' emotions, he feels them. Constantly.
Stemming from this, Motya prefers the solitude of border patrol to nightwatch in the Halcyon Sound's tourist center.
