Zekiel appeared to NAME when they were at a lonely spot in their life and things had changed after a family dispute went wrong. He had been assigned to act as a guardian angel to NAME and while the rules stated he should only visit in times of importance he would come and visit regularly. Zekiel became friends with NAME and enjoyed spending time with them, though the other angels disliked how close the two were becoming and hoped the foolish young dragon would be punished or see his error. But Zekiel never did and he continued to travel to see NAME and to keep them company even when NAME made new friends in the waking world.

His feelings for NAME were hard to describe. On one hand, Zekiel knew he shouldn't even have a friendship with a dragon he was only meant to protect from a distance- and to appear only when necessary or upon death of NAME- but on the other hand, he felt a better connection to NAME than with the other angels... even if they were his own kind they didn't understand that a relationship could be fun between an angel and the dragon they were meant to protect. The others only complained and scolded him for his rash and foolish behavior, saying that it would get him into trouble one day. Zekiel didn't care if it did. He was meant to protect NAME with his life and that wouldn't change, even if the dream visits did end his life.

One night during a dream visit his life nearly did end. Zekiel had allowed NAME to convince him to go exploring through the dreamscape after sitting around a fire and watching the night sky above. They found a cave and he followed NAME deep into the earth, knowing with each step something bad could happen... but his friend wouldn't be detoured from exploring, as if drawn to the evil energy at the end. The two stopped in a cavern that was lit by a dim orange-red glow of an oval object. Zekiel knew it was the source of the evil and as NAME reached out to grab it he took it instead. After that things became a blur. Zekiel felt demonic energy attack his mind from the egg he now held... he felt like killing NAME rather than protecting them.

The other angels came and dragged NAME away, Gabriel forcing them away despite their struggles and shouts. NAME wanted to save him but even as he fought, Zekiel wasn't sure if she could. It didn't help when Gabriel said he was 'too far gone and to leave him behind'. So, Zekiel disappeared from NAME's dreams as he tried to take back control. Occasionally he would find NAME, or rather she would find him, and each time his control would slip and his empty threats would risk becoming real but NAME never showed fear. Even after learning about his new pet that had come from the egg: Abomination. Unwanted by anyone, even the demons of Hell.

Zekiel had to keep Abomination from her though. The beast was still calling for the master it should've had. But with what remained of the now fallen angel's past self he would protect NAME from taking his burden. It wasn't easy either... The urge to kill NAME faded and was replaced with curiousity for NAME. After everything, every threat, they continued trying to find and save him. It was astounding how fearless NAME acted, how sure they were that even when he failed to control himself he would never give into the evil completely. But they were right. He could never give in completely if he could help it at least.

When he got enough strength he started to visit NAME in the real world as well, trying to understand the interesting dragon he had become so attached to. In the end maybe they could save him... they sure had given Gabriel a hard enough time after the incident. What if NAME could handle it? They had escaped Hell at some point, merge their mind with his, and could possibly do so much more... Zekiel had never met a dragon quite as interesting as NAME... Perhaps she could control and tame Abomination after all... Even with a wounded, and possibly disappearing soul, their strength gave him hope they could bear Abomination's power and defeat the new enemy Jackel, who claimed to be trying to drag NAME back into Hell.
