As a Guardian, Lokva naturally sought out a charge to protect. It didn't take long to find him; Yovul came to her soon after she set out and the two have been a loving pair ever since. The time came and they bore three hatchlings together; Sadonfrin, Fodwiin and Klolah, but all of them left in their own time to serve in the Icewarden's army. In the meantime, the clan grew, and the pair's skill in battle grew with it. They trained hard every day, in order to harden themselves, and in turn, their clanmates, against the fierce weather and creatures that lurk in the Southern Icefield and beyond.

One day, however, as Lokva and Yovul patrolled the wastes around the lair, they were ambushed by a large raiding party of Beastclan members. The pair fought valiantly, but Yovul was gravely injured in the fight and had to be rushed back. The healers did everything in their power to heal Yovul , but unfortunately, they were never able to fully restore him back to the way he was before. It wasn't until a year later they discovered that Yovul ...was now infertile.

As King and Queen, they needed to have an heir to the throne of the clan, but now they had neither heirs nor a way to produce any.
