Darkness. He tries, he really does- but beyond magic, beyond Alesseia the mirror remembers nothing. He knows not the loving embrace of a mother or father, and had no sense of warmth that would suggest he ever really had.. Family. Why did he not remember? Why didn't he even have blurry memories at the least? These were the questions he wanted answered. At first, he sought out mages and seers; none of them could peer into his mind, and fish out what was lost. However, there was one thing they all agreed on: there was a dark, forbidden magic at play. Something ancient, controlled, and well practiced.

Umbre always left the seers with more questions than answers, and decided that he would verse himself in the dark arts- perhaps, just maybe, he would understand what happened.
The packless mirror travelled through Sornieth, visiting every ancient bookkeep that was said to possess the lost knowledge on dark magic.

On his travels, he found a young Psywurm pup, deep in some forgotten caverns beneath the large ruins of a temple. Almost immediately, the two bonded. The dark image decided to bring the little runt along, naming him Nero.

As a master of the dark arts, Umbre had no problem travelling into the region that simply pulsed with magic: the arcane flight's territory. It was there that he met her; Alesseia. His sky, his moon, his sun. Her clan had some olden scripts, and when Umbre decoded their secrets- he stayed.
At first, they were companions. It wasn't long before a relationship blossomed, and they became mates.
