Deep in the forests, a lone voice is heard, softly humming a light tune. The birds listen in silence, to the story it tells of a child, pure of heart with wings of white, in a world filled with darkness. A world, where once all was well, until it came. It tore at the hearts of people, corrupting them and bringing them to the brink of madness, ultimately turning them to monstrosities no world should know.
The young girl of pure heart looked upon this world in sorrow, and wished to cleanse it of such destruction. She saw her friends, her family, all consumed by the corruption. She looked upon the first, and softly she spoke. "Do not worry, all will be well. I will take the burden of your darkness." She laid her hand to the corrupted beast, the necklace of her friend still hanging from its neck, and released it from the black. Corruption flocked to her, their only wish to be free, and she accepted their pleas. She traveled the world, with each beast she led from the darkness, she fell farther in.
The world had been cleansed of its darkness and corruption, but the girl, once pure, could no longer handle the dark she claimed for the good of all. Her beautiful white wings were blackened, and she fell to the Earth. A boy, sorrowed by her fall, took her burden himself. He cleansed the one who had saved so many others and freed her of her darkness, paying the ultimate price so that she may fly once more.
