The wildclaw stalked the frozen grass, his vibrant coloring contrasted against the icy cool surroundings. He had walked this path many times in the past, sparring and learning from his master to become a warrior. Now he did so as one, having accomplished such a feat already. His target came into view, and a wicked grin spread across the male’s face. He would win this battle today, and he absolutely knew it.

Springing forth, Caelum burst into a powerful run as he drew closer to his opponent. A rogue mercenary had been causing problems for Clan Snowhearts over the months, and it was when it became too much that Eirlys and Zerath decided to send in Caelum. He had no intentions of disappointing his master and leader, and so he charged the mercenary skydancer with the ferocity of a feral dragon. Claws struck, slashed and clashed. The two tumbled, regaining their standing and clashing again. The skydancer was a faster flyer, however, when his wings beat out and he shot into the sky. Caelum however would not be left with his pent up adrenaline, and flew upwards as well. He connected and they rolled in the air, a flurry of wings and claws as they scraped at each other’s hides. Then the two plummeted down in a heavy heap.

Caelum had been abandoned at birth, decided his bright colorings would be far too much for his birth clan to manage hunting with him alerting their prey to their location. The young wildclaw was instead taken in by a beast clan that intended to utilize him as a body in their ranks. He’d been expected to be a foot soldier and nothing less, but his viciousness and merciless tactics led to promotion after promotion. He moved up through the ranks seamlessly, but to the rest of the clan didn’t take too kindly to the wildclaw. Caelum was a dragon, a nobody. Less than the worms on the ground, and yet he had bested them enough to hold a high position. Deciding to do away with the wildclaw, Caelum found his adoptive clan pitting themselves against him in a fight that left him fleeing the territory. Though he had taken out several in his escape, he traveled as far as he could to put distance between that life and his future. In his wanderings he was brought into Clan Snowhearts by the clan’s tactician, then trained by their leader’s husband himself.

____Zerath saw the potential of the young wildclaw, and knew with the right training it might be enough to tame the feral part of him that posed a threat. Throughout the years Zerath worked hands on with Caelum, teaching him to be a valuable warrior to the clan, and he was not disappointed. Caelum was truly a skilled fighter, and had protected the clan on many occasions. His almost sadistic tendencies towards how he killed his prey was a bit unsettling and his near obsession with Saphira bordered on problematic, but he was exceptional with his skills and duties within the clan nonetheless.

The heap unfurled off the ground, the skydancer bleeding profusely from the large gash in his chest. Caelum shook out his wings and moved to stand over the skydancer. He was unable to flee or fight back in this state, having taken such a hit to his chest had been enough to fatally wound him. Caelum grinned, then slashed his throat.
