Biography

No one knew exactly how Uiro came to be in their clan. They just knew that they didn't very well like them. They would bounce around the camp with their lilting voice and grin with their shining teeth. If you were to wake in the middle of the night and see a pair of glowing arcane eyes, it was clear to you that Uiro was paying a visit. It was not an honor. Though many a dragon wished to complain to Fabella and Sacral, they made it clear that Uiro was a very powerful dragon, despite his outward 'jester-like' demeanor. Even Sacral, a hopeless gossip, did not know of his origins. He, like the others, woke one day to find that Fabella had accepted him.

She insisted that he came from a friend's clan, "He is a gift, and not one that any sensible dragon would refuse." She said calmly on the day of Uiro's arrival. No one could question their trusted leader, though many had their doubts, but soon, all doubts were dashed, but a mere memory in the shadow of the scene that unfolded a month and a half after his first appearance.

Xiaohong, the gentle nurse maiden, found herself awoken by a terrible noise out front. She knew each and every member of the clan by voice, this was not one she knew. She woke her faithful mate, who quickly used his own powers to sweep outside, and upon the sight of two shadowy figures he did not recognize, wake everyone but the hatchlings in fear of a battle. Xiao, the first to wake, was also the first to notice. The figures were facing each other, not teamed in an attack effort. The only dragon unaccounted for was Uiro...

"No..." Xio whispered "That isn't Uiro. His stance is too stiff, and look at his tail, it's completely still. He looks like a dead dragon standing! Uiro could never stand still like that..." Yet as the dueling pair rotated, all could see the glowing arcane eyes they knew too well. Uiro carried none of his normal joy. His lips were pulled back in a snarl and his entire body, save for his legs, was still as a statue. Uiro, for it was they, struck with the speed of lightning, taking the enroaching dragon's ear off easily. Through the shock of the pain, the other did not seem to care, making a clumsy lunge towards Uiro, who sidestepped smoothly. Uiro cocked his head, as if calculating, and let out a deep, sharp noise from his throat, his mouth opening and eyes calmly surveying. He did not seem capable of speech. He was a wild beast. His wings lifted him in a high leap towards his opponent, his claws coming down fatally on the trespasser. Two large front toe-claws pierced through his attacker's face, traveling through flesh all the way down to his chest, where they exited and landed their owner safely and easily on the ground. No one said a word, staring at the body whose throat had been shredded.

In a deep voice that no one recognized, Uiro spoke. "He was here to take the hatchlings. They would have lived a terrible life. He does not deserve to be in this realm." With that, a blood spattered Uiro turned and made for the closest river to clean off. When everyone had finally realized that the voice had come from Uiro himself, they all stood, shocked.

Fabella made her way to the front of the crowd and waved her claw for the undertaker, Lazarus, to do his duty. His mate, the General, stepped forward.

"But...that can't be what I think it is. Not Uiro, you need discipline and work to learn that...no...never Uiro..." Bone stuttered, staring dumbfoundedly at the death scene of the trafficker, replaying Uiro's actions over and over again. "That move was lost decades ago."

"Oh but it is, General Bone. Uiro here is full of surprises." Fabella nodded calmly. Tilting her head she looked a starstruck Bone in the eyes.

"Eliminate."
