Biography
Gossip, as Marguerite has seen it, is the simplest way to root out a bad noble, to turn over a plot of regicide, to fell a kingdom. It's all in getting the right answers and passing on the correct lies.
She's not flirtatious, not really. It's a simple enough ruse to sell, however, when the crowds are thick and the whole place is decked up in gold filigree flowers and she's caught the eye of anyone who cares to look. The favor of the favorite daughter, that's all they want. She is charismatic, she is carefree, she is certainly gorgeous, and she is royalty. It's all lies, of course. The nobles of court are easily won over with the right flattery and charm, and she has acting ability in spades.
Her father is a prince, Loramiel son of King Crowne the Wise, and being royalty has its advantages--and its disadvantages. Nobody wants to gossip to the prince's daughter; it seems untoward, when most of the gossip is negative and all of it directed at Loramiel, or her mother Ellia, or any number of other court officials and nobles whose favor she is expected to curry. In the eyes of those to whom court intrigue is a game, Marguerite is not a piece they want to bring into it. It's too dangerous, that way. Still, she flirts and she laughs a little public laugh and she dances when expected, and sometimes she catches tidbits she is expected not to notice. Sometimes the drama comes to her, as if on a breeze, and she revels in it.
Her father never thanks her for the important bits she brings to him. Drama is no concern of mine, Mar, and I've a council meeting soon, so you'd best head on out, he says, and she protests to no avail. Loramiel remains firm, remains focused on matters that won't matter if her information falls on deaf ears. So she tries again, fails again, and tries a few more times for good measure. Being seen as silly when she is anything but wears on her, and she falls silent. He barely notices; she never, ever forgets.
When she is old enough and well-practiced in all of the things she is expected to know, the little kingdom in the Sunbeam Ruins sends out feelers to nearby kingdoms, on the hunt for a match for their Marguerite, much to her outrage. She protests and is ignored as always. Livid, she attempts three times to escape her fate and fails twice. On the third attempt, she flees the little kingdom in disguise. When anyone asks her name, she winks and flirts, and they forget they've asked. She finds solace in a few scattered places on her road to somewhere, and none of them feel right. Her talents are specialized. She cannot find anyplace less than a perfect fit.
((I'll leave the rest to you, I suppose, since I'm not sure how to fit everything with your lore, but potentially she enters Ezekiel's court as visiting nobility and gathers information for Queen there? I dunno, I was just trying to find a way to tie it in with the lore you have))

Quote:
She's a bit of a mystery to most. Certainly, she plays a good part--a lady of the court, a delightful high-born flirt with a flair for drama and intrigue--and with her part she gathers information. Nobody would suspect such a cheerful and proper dame of such deviousness, but she collects their secrets and lays them all out for her leader afterward, explaining the importance of each bit of information somberly and without all of her public persona. She is very serious outside of work matters, and it puts people off on occasion. She holds grudges forever, unless she has a very convincing reason to change her mind.
