◆ Fafnir - Solstice's Leader / Another Me ◆

"It doesn't matter if I break. Everything I have done is for this. No matter how many deaths that I die, I won't forget. No matter how many lives I live, I won't regret. It's too late to turn back, and the stars, they call me."

For the longest time, he had not known much about the truth behind his origins. For the longest time, he knew nothing about who he was, and who he was meant to be. Fafnir, an imperial of the wind, had always been a seeker of answers. He was born to wind dragons, and his egg rolled far away from the nest before it hatched. However, it remained in the Windsinger's territory long enough for the hatchling Fafnir to be born of the wind.

And for as long as he lived, he knew nothing. He came to accept the fact that he was a wind-born imperial. But, much of that changed when he discovered the clan of Solstice, and found the leader at that time, the Guardian Lux. Far and with no memory of his own home, he joined them and became incredibly close with the Arcane Representative, the Coatl by the name of Galactica.

When he initially joined the clan, he felt as if he did not belong. Galatica, kind at heart, offered to help the clueless dragon through his troubles, and gifted him a tome on the Arcane flight. Little did the Coatl know, this would become the beginning of Fafnir's quest- and the eventual overtaking that he would preform. He became charismatic and confident, forming close relations with the other dragons of the clan, and recruiting new ones. This was for one purpose- To siphon power from the leader, Lux.

While he had nothing against Lux, he realized who he was meant to be. Galactica's meeting had changed his outlook on life, and from that day on, he desired to be a dragon of the Arcane flight. And he was not afraid to use the clan to that end. It was not long before power slipped from Lux's grasp, and Fafnir became the one to wear the crown.

Now, Fafnir's quiet quest is still unknown to most, but the dragon Andromeda has her suspicions. Galactica has grown increasingly worried over Fafnir's state of mind, especially with his dedication that lies not with Lightweaver nor Windsinger, but rather, with the Arcanist. He has been known to collect peculiar materials, exclusively from the Starfall Isles. Nobody knows as to how this will end- But it seems that Fafnir is preparing something large.

He also seems to be far more cautious than most give him credit for. He has assembled his own gathering, the council- to serve as his personal guards and advisors. The guardian, the mage, the healer, the archer, the rouge, and the charmer are invaluable assets to this leader, and each role has been filled. However, it seems that he is intent on eventually expanding the council to include several more positions. Shushed whispers speak of the warrior and the summoner that may soon join the ranks... Yet now, the Lancer and the Prophet are the ones who emerge.

The council's hold is as steady as ever. However, one night, when Fafnir was experimenting with his magics, something went terribly right and wrong at the same time. The ritual he practiced altered his physiology. His body became almost spiritual, and his wings were stained with the very night sky, becoming celestial feathers instead of the leather-bound wings of most imperials. He seemed to be fine with this, even though the change tore at his very nature as a wind dragon. But Fafnir has never cared for his elemental affliction.

He still leads the Solstice Clan with the aid of the Imperial council that holds sway over much of the clan's politics. While Fafnir himself rarely shows himself, he is more akin to a puppetmaster who silently pulls the strings from behind the scenes, which is what he does- the rest of the council are the ones who manage the activities of the clan, but if even the prophet cannot see Fafnir's future, there seems to be a greater mystery at hand...

But sadly, how the mighty have fallen. The current reality is that Fafnir serves only as a figurehead, since Lebirantio's arrival has stolen away much of the power he used to wield. Solstice stands only for truth, and Fafnir's former ambitions are comparable to the shadow a brilliant light will cast.
