Twilightcherub tossed his hat on the small stone slab just inside his den and let out a long sigh, he was trying to train the latest wanderer, Bluebird, but the kid was making it as difficult as possible. He couldn't stay organized, was always talking, and had four left feet. What he lacked for in just about everything, he made up for in enthusiasm and energy. Twilightcherub couldn't help but wonder if there wasn't some spiral in his lineage.
"Twili!!!" A voice cried, as if his thought had summoned them. Twilightcherub looked up to see a gray blur fly into the den. "How are you? I haven't seen you all day!! How's Bluebird? Did you learn anything new?"
"Hello Petalfur," he said with a smile as his mate swirled in the air.
"Oh my gosh, so today I was just hanging out in the Commons when this tiny baby fae waddled up to me! He was sooooooooooooooo cute it made me miss our hatchlings but anyways Tigershimmer came flying out of the nursery cave frantically and was sooooooo relieved when she saw me holding him! She took him back but I might go visit-" Petalfur's sentence was cut off as she abruptly fell asleep, unfortunately for Twilightcherub, his neck was the nearest thing for her body to wrap around. He chuckled to himself and careful walked over to their bed, laid down, his neck position in a way comfortable for him yet safe for Petalfur and fell asleep.
