Cordoza was never a typical wildclaw. He was never inclined to fight when he didn't have to, and would try and avoid it if he could, branding himself a coward and eventually being exiled in the process.

He has always loved music, and since falling in with the Clan of the Silver Pine he has had time to devote to his craft. Here, there are other dragons to fight the battles, and he will not lose standing by refusing a duel -- most dragons won't even ask for a duel.
