Biography
The most hammy backstory ever, in an exercise to include as many cliché things as possible:
Born to Alaric and Raine of Amelate with royal colours, Eurydice is the chosen who graces the earth only once every few centuries, a princess who will lead them all. She leaves behind her childhood friend and protector, Lycus, to set out on a journey to find her older brother, the crown prince whom were snatched from the cradle at birth, determined to right the wrong and free her distraught parents from grief. Her fate will not be easy, her travels destined to be a perilous adventure against the many evils of the world, but she will not go alone.
Barely outside the castle's walls, her quick-witted and loyal handmaiden, Larisa catches her in time to make their escape from the capital quick and undetected, buying them the time necessary to start the journey as relatively anonymous.
Although she is wary when a traveling mercenary attempts to charm Larisa with pretty words and flattery, the man proves to be reliable enough in battle if not in his flattery, his swordarm as valuable an asset as his extensive knowledge of the country's situation and geography.
Eurydice next meets and hires a thief on her journey, and despite their obvious differences, they soon learn that they have more in common than it meets the eye - blood will always recognize blood. Before they can come to terms with this revelation, Lycus finds and joins her. All is not well - he brings news of a traitor in the midst of court who accuses her father of commoner blood, accusations that throw into jeopardy their claim to their throne.
The sibling’s struggle against intrigue and machinations may end with claiming her life...
