Biography
"Why must you bury them? That is . . . such a waste."
Warlock Clan Healer Mate to None Yet Permanence |
Warlock was the first dragon that joined Harley and Draco. He was found nearly dead and delusional from blood loss. Harley was able to save his life and the silent, reclusive Fae didn't leave the duo as he had nowhere else to go. After time Warlock withdrew from his shell, and showed an almost frightening, large amount of intelligence. He learned quickly, and he became the Clan Healer, his skills unmatched by anyone else.
It is unspoken about, but Warlock didn't recover from his near-death experience unscratched. His mind, while skilled, is also twisted. Screams can be heard coming from his private quarters in the middle of the night, and there are times when he has some blood spots on his skin, but nobody had recently gone to his care for help. Nobody questions why some of the hatchlings go missing, or where some of his 'mysterious' ingredients come from. Harley is continuously investigating the dark Fae but so far, there has been no evidence against him.
Due to his intelligence and his frightening hobbies, nobody questions him when he takes over the clan when Harley is one of her 'dazes'. The clan is permanently split between those who support Harley and those who support and fear Warlock.
A clan war is unavoidable in the future.
A Peek in Warlock's Life
Another squeal escaped Warlock’s unfortunate test subject. With narrowed eyes the little fae made another cut, effectively ending the new life that never got to live. It was a mercy truly. The little hatchling would have been chased off anyways as she was born with very weak lungs. She would not have lived long or grown into an adult. It was better than she died by his claws than out in the cold, starving and alone.
With skills born of years of medical training, Warlock managed to separate the organs, wings and claws. He put them in different jars, sealing them away for the future. What remained was just a shell of what use to be and without hesitation, Warlock tossed the carcass back. His familiar snarled hungrily before devouring the remains.
“It’s such a shame no one else sees the beauty of my work,” Warlock murmured to himself.
All the dragons within his clan avoided his personal resting quarters at all costs. They disagreed with his work and ingredients, calling them inhumane and evil. Many even regarded him with fear, afraid of the day that he would come after them. Others of the clan supported his show of power and bloodlust, following his decisions more than the Clan Queen and rallying for a clan war.
Harley had been trying for years to chase him out but she could find no evidence against him and therefore had no proof. Once the hatchlings were cut up they looked no different than the prey that the hunters brought back for him. His healing skills were superior too, unmatched by any other dragon, so he was irreplaceable in the clan.
In the corner of the den, his familiar groaned in agony, his stomach probably disagreeing with his recent meal. The monster was not born a chimera but unless someone looked very closely, nobody would be able to see the stitches Warlock used to put his unique creation together. In Draco's humble opinion, this beast was more beautiful after his alternations.
“Remember my dear Beast," the chimera whimpered in fear at the sound of his name as Warlock turned glowing yellow eyes to his familiar, “this is a secret just between me and you. No one else needs to know.”

Beast
An unfortunate creature that ran into Warlock while the dark fae was hunting alone. Not much is known about Beast's past or beginning. When he was first brought into the clan, Harley was only able to glimpse a raging ball of fur and then Warlock hid the animal. Nobody was given a chance to stop the fae or question him.Squeals and roars could be heard from Warlock's den for the next couple of days. Draco was not brave enough to investigate and Harley was gone, scavenging for more abandoned dragons to care for. Several days later, Warlock emerged from his den with the Chimera following loyally by his side. The beast's spirit was broken as the raging, wild creature it once was, was now replaced by a submissive cat who whimpered every time Warlock glanced at him. Warlock normally keeps Beast locked up in his den, forcing the creature to be a guardian. Beast does his job loyally, not letting anyone into the room without permission. Several dragons have been attacked for getting too close already but Warlock claims Beast is innocent and only doing his job. Nobody ever gets close enough to see the ragged stitches that hold the animal together. So, Beast's darkest secret goes untold. What he was before Warlock got to him is still unknown but Warlock loves to spend time with his greatest creation even though Beast trembles with fear every time Warlock gets close to him. |
