Biography
Nobody was sure what to make of this Arcane wildclaw, or her choice in wardrobe. Fangsong had brought her home from the market. While cordial with each other, they never connected and he took Dusk to mate instead.
It was his silent daughter Gamma, as queer in her own was as Whimsy, who came around, and cuddled up. They often fought together, the silent ballerina of a wildclaw and her arcane companion.
Someday there would be eggs to brood and raise. They were nature's guardians, after all, living in her gardens, and there were always orphans and marketlings that Helvetica brought home.
******
When her season came upon her, she was surprised at her restlessness. She knew Helvetica couldn't afford to keep many hatchlings. They were too valuable sent to other clans or the care of the Gods. But she found she wanted her own hatchlings.
Gamma agreed. "Go," she whispered.
********
Eventually Gamma left her, and she wept bitter tears. She was alone, with no children or beloved to comfort her. Her first born was safe though and she took bitter comfort in her Tundra daughter.
"We'll find you someone dear" Helvetica whispered. "I can smell it on the wind."
********
Whimsy found herself, quite unexpectedly, drawn to the pale dancer that Helvetica brought home from a dissolved clan. So delicate and graceful of claw and horn. Such fine white scales. Zie was a pleasure to watch. She brought zie earrings to go with zie's silks.
