The Sandsharks remember when Grilyazh showed up with her rather complicated name and weapons in hands. It is known that no one survive if they enter the Sandshark´s Lands. Watching from her throne of sand, rocks and bones, Perigosa ordered one of their many warriors to finish the Coatl as they eat and watch.
Grilyazh showed herself strong and fast for someone who didn´t appear to be so, she defeated the Sandshark warrior as it was child´s play. Many challenged her and failed on that day, until Perigosa ordered them to stop.
"What is your purpose here? Came here to shed blood or to prove something?" Perigosa asked throwing a bone away
"I heard the Sandsharks are the strongest creatures in the desert and I came here to prove that this title belongs to me!" was Grilyazh´s reply and last thing she said before being defeated by Perigosa. As tradition says, invaders must die, but Perigosa claimed to have fun that day. So, Grilyazh would be spared if she joined her personal guard. She accepted for she wanted a chance to learn Perigosa´s and Tubarão´s moves, they are amazing warriors and Grilyazh wishes to best them at some point.

As time passed, she became more and more popular, every male shark wanted to have her as their mate. Grilyazh would not only reject them but beat them as a warning. Perigosa was so found of her that gave her the "Gladiator" title, so every festive night some poor soul will be put in the Gladiator´s pit to fight her as punishment, sometimes bold warriors will fight Grilyazh during the leader´s feast for status.

Tirano got his attention on her and he too wanted to have her as his mate. He asked his mother to make this happen and for the first time in his life, his wish was denied. "If you want her, you fight for her" Perigosa told her son and pointed to the Gladiator´s pit in front of them. Tirano jumped on it and fought every Sandshark that was fool enough to try their luck against the leaders´ son. It took the whole night and many experienced warriors defeated for Grilyazh to accept him as her mate.
