Biography

Ever since she was young, Aloe saw him. At first, he was only a shadow in the trees, a whisper on the wind. But as she grew, he became more... material. A tail twisting around a bend just in front of her, a pair of empty black eyes in the dark, a claw reaching out of the hidden confines of the caverns in which her clan lived. She tried to tell her parents, but they never believed her. "It's just your imagination," they would say. Aloe wished she could believe them. But he still haunted her, like a ghost. He never left. She tried everything, but he never left. She ran away from her clan, but he still followed her. She lived out in the wilderness alone, but he still followed her. She moved to uncountable new clans, but he still followed her. Aloe cannot help but wonder if she can ever make him go away.
