Stormaline

Stormaline's had it rough. From being elected as clan leader against her protests, she was stressed with responsibilities she didn't feel she was capable of handling. Not to mention, she'd lost her charge in a battle years earlier, lowering her self-esteem further. She was stressed to the nth-degree, constantly dealing with her own problems as well as the clans. She needed a backdoor, an escape... Something.

And then a young Wildclaw was found. Despite her youth, she was fierce, clever, strong... A few days out of her egg and she already showed promise. Stormaline declared her future leader of the clan. At last, the Guardian could rest. She just had to wait till Jaehee was of age.

The day came. Jaehee was a fine young dragoness. And in a single moment thousands of pounds of stress, anxiety, power was lifted off of Stormaline's back... and dropped onto a young, inexperienced Wildclaw.

Stormaline to this day regrets her choice. Jaehee's quick descent to the cruel, violent dragon she is today was almost instant. The clan went through the worst starvation episode they'd ever had, with many deaths. Stormaline sat back, watched... And yet, couldn't bring herself to stop it... She'd never asked to be a leader. She didn't have to now... Then why did she feel so bad?

The Guardian remains as one of the highest-ranking dragons in the clan. Not because of her former status, simply because she's terribly submissive to Jaehee after watching the clan fall by her own mistakes. Jaehee commands, Stormaline obeys...
