Biography

Genes to be added: Alloy, Glimmer(?)

Marx is a very peculiar Spiral. While all the other Spirals are full of energy, he finds himself unable to keep up. He loves being alone, reading books, doing puzzles, and sleeping. He is very smart, but he doesn't like admitting it. He also likes dressing up in ribbons, frills, and flowers, but usually just wears his usual jester-hat... which is no longer missing!

The other Spirals in his area used to bully him for being weird, so he left the place. Eventually, he came across Kirby; a lovely little Coatl hatchling who didn't care that Marx was different from other Spirals, and let him join his lair without a second thought.

Marx one day tricked Kirby into summoning the mythical Snapper, Nova, so he could wish on him and become powerful enough that he would never have to worry about being bullied again. He gained metal wings from the wish, as well as many arcane powers, the latter of which left a glowing pattern on his belly and horns. However, after seeing Kirby look so heartbroken from being betrayed, he started to have regrets about what he had done. He ran away, not wanting to have to explain himself to Kirby. He was once again bullied, but he didn't use his newfound powers to protect himself, as he felt that he deserved it for tricking his only friend.

After many years apart, Marx couldn't take the crippling loneliness anymore. He was sick of being bullied and was at his wits end, planning to take his own life if it kept up much longer. Deciding that things couldn't get any worse, he finally reunited with Kirby and explained himself. There was much crying, but Kirby happily accepted the Spiral back into their lair, and they quickly regained their friendship.

Marx still feels unnaturally tired and often feels like he doesn't deserve to exist, but he now has come to realize that the cause of his exhaustion and suicidal feelings is clinical depression, and not something he can easily change. With the help of Kirby and the other friends he has made in his new lair, he manages to keep happy, and now uses the powers he got from Nova to help others who are in need.

Marx and Kirby are best friends. They are very affectionate with each other; cuddling and grooming each other, and giving each other kisses. Kirby was also the one who gave him his jester hat... which is, again, no longer missing, thankfully. Marx considers Kirby as his step-brother.

Marx's relationship with Kirby's adoptive father, Meta Knight, was a little shaky in the beginning. Meta was a little bit hesitant about Kirby's new friend, and after the betrayal, he was certain that Marx was not a good role-model. However, after Marx came back and made up with Kirby, Meta saw how well the Spiral was treating his child and started being a little softer on him. Now, they get along very well and they bond over books and puzzles, and Meta considers Marx as his step-son.

Marx gets along well with Galacta, and he will often visit the Tundra all dressed up in cleaning garb and help him dust the place from head to toe.
