THE ORPHAN

It is unknown where she came from or who her parents were. All that is known is that she was found as a young hatchling, abandoned near the shores where the Nightsong Clan make their home. She was found by Roman, the Archer, while out on a hunt, and brought back to the Nesting Grounds for it's Guardian, Taala, to care for. However, Taala had only recently had a nest of her own with five healthy eggs that required her care.
The matter of the orphaned Spiral and what to do with her was brought before the Council. No one was sure what to do with her, and it was even suggested that she be cast out and left to fend for herself. Knowing that, because she was so young and unable to feed or protect herself, she would likely not survive, she was allowed to stay. Only one problem remained: Who would care for her?
Everyone on the Council was surprised when the quick-tempered and often gruff Lightning Rep, Primordial, offered to take her in. What they didn't know was that Primordial and his mate, Gwyneira, had recently lost a child of their own and the Council's Lightning Rep saw this as an opportunity to uplift his grieving mate. This orphan looked so much like the child they had lost--her genes and colors were so similar that the only difference was the color of her eyes. He knew he could never replace the one that they had lost, but he could give his beloved the next best thing.
He gave the child the name Raksha, after his deceased mother, who was a great Healer in the Shifting Expanse where he was born and raised, and brought the child to his mate. Gwyn loved her immediately, and it did Prime's heart good to see his mate smile again. Raksha clung to her adoptive mother, who cared for the child as if she were her own. She now lives happily with her adoptive family and has the great and mighty Primordial wrapped firmly around her little paw.
